Russia says to auction 2 Taimyr gas fields on April 12

MOSCOW, Feb 4 (PRIME) -- The Federal Mineral Resources Agency will hold auctions with special conditions for the Turkovsky and Deryabinsky gas fields on the Taimyr Peninsula on April 12, the agency said in a statement Thursday.

Only companies that have active oil and gas projects in the Arctic zone of Krasnoyarsk Region can participate.

The reserves of the Turkovsky field amount to 33.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas under the C1 category and 20.7 bcm under C2. Projected reserves amount to 1 million tonnes of oil in the D1 category, 1.8 million tonnes under the D2 category, and 5 bcm of gas in the Dl category. The starting payment amounts to 758.8 million rubles.

The reserves of the Deryabinsky field include 50.6 bcm of gas under the C1 category and 4.1 bcm under the C2 category, of gas condensate 3.1 million tonnes in the C1 category and 0.33 million tonnes in the C2 category. The projected reserves stand at 0.4 million tonnes of oil in the D1 category, 0.7 million tonnes in the D2 category. The starting payment amounts to 1.423 billion rubles.
